Mr. Bruce Monroe, founder of Zero Draft Insulation & Windows and its parent company, Monroe Infrared Technology, was the former director of a New England Utility Energy Program. and operated two successful insulation companies.
As the director of the Utility Energy Program, Mr. Monroe tested various insulation products and their correct applications in buildings. He also implemented a standardization and training program for utility contractors. For consumer protection Mr. Monroe developed an infrared inspection program to determine a building's needs before the work was done and then evaluate contractor workmanship after the job was completed.
The infrared inspection process proved to be a valuable tool in detecting building envelope problems because of its ability to locate the exact locations of building air infiltration.
